Double Hernia surgery carried out promptly and professionally. Mr Chitsabesan explained the procedure and discussed the options (I settled for key-hole), he was patient, clear and detailed in his explanation of the procedures and the pros and cons of each. He scheduled the surgery around my own needs and the facilities and treatment were excellent. A knowledgeable consultant who has a good patient manner is clear and communicative and is able to perform first class surgery and provide excellent follow up and advice about recovery.

Mr. Chitsabesan carried out a Primary repair of of an inguinal hernia for me at York Nuffield Hospital. At the initial consultation he explained fully what was involved, what options I had and what risks if any were involved. His calm and self assured manner put me at ease. The operation itself went smoothly and I was discharged within 24 hours after another consultation with Mr. Chitsabesan. It is now just over 3 weeks since my operation and I am recovering well. I am very pleased with the care and treatment that I received.

Mr Chitsabesan performed a laparoscopic cholecystectomy on me in November 2019. On meeting him prior to the surgery, he was friendly and professional, listened carefully to all my concerns and made a plan that reassured me. The surgery went smoothly, and he came to see me shortly afterwards to let me know how it had gone, and outline the plan going forward. He also came in the following morning to arrange my discharge and check on me again, to ensure I was well enough to go home. I saw Mr Chitsabesan yesterday for my three week post-op checkup and again he was friendly and positive. I am extremely happy with how the surgery went, my healing has been excellent, and I have felt in very safe hands throughout the process. I would thoroughly recommend Mr Chitsabesan as a surgeon.
